Four Different Mental States Binaural Beats Can Help You Achieve

To achieve different states of mind without a huge amount of effort, you can use what are referred to as binaural beats. Binaural beats allow you to “force” your mind into tuning into these states. Depending on the frequency you wish to be focused on, you can trick your brain into a varying number of states that will assist with concentrating, weight loss, learning, achieving lucid dreams, sleep, and a number of other ones.

Over a century ago, the effects of binaural beats were discovered. It was determined that by playing different frequencies into the ears, it could have an effect on the frequency at which the brain operates at. For instance, if you wanted to tune your brain into a similar state that deeper sleep gives you, a frequency of about one to three hertz (hertz are changes per minute) could be played into your ears. And today, just a simple CD or MP3 player is required to get your brainwave frequency where you want it.

One of the questions you may have is how someone’s mind can become “tuned in” to a frequency. In order to do this, two different sounds (one in each ear) can be played at similar (but different) Hertz. For instance, in the case of binaural beats, a tone could be played at 50 Hz in one ear and at 55 Hz in the other ear. What this creates is a “difference” of 5 Hz, which causes the binaural beat. This beat then creates the state of mind that your mind will tune into.

There are four different categories that are mentioned when discussing the different states. They are called theta, delta, beta, and alpha. It is possible you have heard some of these terms before, and they are commonly used when discussing binaural beats.

The first category is between the 13 Hz to 25 Hz range and helps achieve a state of alertness and also helps remove anxiety and stress. This is the range for beta frequencies.

Within the range of 8 to 12 Hz, you will be able to enhance learning (”superlearning”), have a more positive state of mind, and feel some light relaxation. This frequency range is referred to as the alpha range.

Theta frequencies are in the range between 4 Hz to 7 Hz. In this range, a different set of benefits can be found. These benefits assist with deeper relaxation (which makes them good for meditation), improving your memory, and increasing your focus.

The last and final category is the delta range. The delta frequencies are primarily responsible for deeper sleep, increased immune functions, and lucid dreaming.

From what you have just read, you can see that binaural beats can be taken advantage of to induce a vast number of mental states. With each of these states, benefits are offered to the listener, even if the listener does not have any experience with binaural beats at all. All they require is an open mind.

As a result, anorexia may result and loss of nutrients is available, thus decreasing the availability of the body to do its proper work.

Obsessive dieters also are reaping the effects of micro-nutrient deficiencies. Diet fads that stress one type of food that’s predominant will offset the body’s systems. Some people have a higher food demand for a particular type of food, such as athletes who exercise too hard. These individuals need more protein and complex carbohydrates, and supplements. They will find themselves subject to lowered immunity and resistance when their body make up is changed with accompanying chemical imbalances.

Chronic alcoholics suffer from impaired gastritis, impaired absorption of the stomach and intestine, and therefore eat empty calories with no nutritional value. They suffer from a low thiamine status, necessary for the body’s energy intake.

Adolescents are susceptible to media marketing. Unrealistic expectations of perfect body proportions are forced into their psyche. Average weight girls think that they are obese. Well-developed boys think they are too thin or lacking in muscular stature. Strange rituals and eating pattern then cause diseases such as bulimia (throwing up food), diuretic use, anorexia, food fads, etc. This can then become apparent in lack of growth, impaired energy levels, moodiness, and irritability.

Infants of low birth-weight or those with birth defects often have feeding difficulties and inadequate stores of nutrients. Lack of vital nutrients will affect them later in life if not intervened.

Young children with rapid growth spurts have greater nutrient needs. Without the proper nutrition, poor growth and development will follow. This also will affect mental function and capacity.

Optimum health is not free. It is not an inevitable right. We do have the ability to change and reverse the direction of our health. However, holistic changes take longer than pharmaceuticals. However, my opinion is such that natural is better when given a choice and if reasonably possible. For one, you do not suffer severe drug side effects. Another reason is that you are merely putting a band-aide on the problem, rather than to find the cause. Keep in mind however, for every week of a certain nutrient deficiency, it takes approximately four weeks for re-establishment of normal levels in the body.

Freedom Can Be Motivating

Some people don’t have freedom. We live in a free society. We have freedom and yet we are always talking about it which is kind of funny.

We, as citizens of a free society, are often not free.

I know people who stay married to people that make them miserable and then complain about it because they are not free. They don’t realize or understand they have the freedom of choice. They can go get help through counseling, or decide to end that marriage. But they decide to do nothing, and are enslaved by their own apathy. Its a real shame.

I know people who hate their jobs, but will not make changes because they fear change or just don’t think that they can do better. They do have a choice and can change their work and career if they choose to. But they make the wrong choice. Sad but true.

I have met many people who put up with abuse and mistreatment by familiy and so called loved ones. For years and years they will allow it not thinking they can do much better. They don realize that it is their life and they do have a choice.

I know people just stuck in a giant circular rut because of the past and the present and the maybe the future. They blindly accept it and they dont know how to end it.

We all should be greatful that freedom has been given to us as a gift. We must then make the choice to consciously use it now even today. We have to know we have the right and then make the decision to choose to use it.

We can all completely reinvent ourselves in our mind, body, in our wallet and in our spirit. A banker can be a biker if they want to. A bouncer can be a banker if they wnat to So then a ballet dancer can be a bouncer if they want to. A bouncer can be a bowler if they want to. If you think about it, freedom is the centerpeice of our true happiness or can be. We really can choose and exert our right and do what we really want. So freedom and the ability to choose is beautiful.
