Have You Ever Considered Using A Natural Skin Care Cream?

There must be good reasons for using a natural skin care cream, everyone seems to be doing so now, but what are they? And what exactly is “natural” anyway?

Last question first. What does natural mean when you use it in a skin care context? There is no really one single answer. No clear definition of what natural skin care really is. Despite the fact that there are many natural anti aging skin care creams and other products on the market.

What is the difference between a natural skin care product, a botanical skin care product, an organic skin care product and a herbal skin care product? Is there any difference?

Whilst there is no formal definition that doesn’t mean that it is meaningless. It just means that the industry has no real way of establishing clearly what is natural and what is not.

So I tend to use my own definition when asked this question. But to formulate your own definition I need to first consider why people would want to use a natural skin care product. Why would they buy these over “ordinary” mainstream skin care products?

There’s a simple answer. Most of the big name skin care products that you see on the shelves have one or more, often many, synthetic chemicals that some scientist somewhere has found performs a function. Some of them are found no where in nature.

One of the reasons for this is that it is often much cheaper to manufacture chemical ingredients than it is to take ingredients from nature.

Parabens is an example. These are a range of chemicals that are used in many products, not just skin care products, as preservatives. Why? Because they are very cheap to manufacture. But there’s a problem with finding Parabens in your products. Many consider that they are dangerous if used extensively and could cause cancer. But they’re cheap.

There’s very many ingredients used in mainstream skin care products that are considered to be a risk to health from long term use. Chemical (and petrochemical) ingredients that many people don’t want to be putting on their skin.

So there are huge numbers of customers now turning to more natural, or herbal, or botanical or organic skin care products because they see a potential risk in the use of skin care products with chemical ingredients.

So from this information I can make my own definition. I consider a natural skin care product to be one which only uses ingredients that are found naturally somewhere and also which are known to be safe for human use. And there’s another part to the definition.

The product has to work really well too, there’s no point in buying a skin care product comprised of natural ingredients that doesn’t do anything, (despite the fact that many mainstream products often do very little).

It’s surprising but the best natural skin care products often work way better than the mainstream products.

So despite the fact that there is no formal definition of what a natural skin care cream is there are still powerful reasons to use one, and that’s why natural skin care is one of the fastest growing segments of the market.

They’re safer and work better than the big brands.

And amongst natural skin care brands there’s one brand that stands out head and shoulders above the rest. Visit my website to find out which brand.
